Bags for life

So my not to secret guilty secret are bags. I love them, I can’t stop buying them and I’m running out of excuses to keep buying them.

But before that happens I’m going to share my latest treats.

Now as you may or may not know my parents live in France and whenever I visit I’m always mesmerising by the fashion. Now I know they gave many of the same shops as we have here but they obviously have different stock.

Now bags are a different matter. I love the designs in Desigual, they are just different, quirky and I can never just choose one…….. so this time I chose 2

This cute tan and tapestry Boho one, smaller then my usual style but I couldn’t resist

And this super denim one (oh yes and the purse ooooooops)

Every so often I gift my bags to friends who’ve always said they liked them or charity shops but it’s the hardest item of all to give up

Wish me luck

What I did on my holidays

So this years summer travels took me across the sea to beautiful Jamaica. More specifically the luxury Bahia Principe Runaway Bay and it was stunning.

The rooms were decked out with either a super deluxe king bed or 2 doubles, tv, fully stocked mini fridge, bottle of vodka and rum.  Jacuzzi bath, double sink bathroom, toilet, shower etc. But rooms are rooms anywhere.

We chose the luxury side as it was adults only, so no kids. Personally heaven for me. Unlimited visits to the a la carte restaurants, branded spirit drinks etc.

My favourites were the Jamaican and Japanese. Mainly for the food but the shows they put on are super fun. Oh and who doesn’t love a good buffet breakfast

The beach was exquisite, private and peaceful. I tried to get down there each morning before others arrived. Just to have some me time

Pools were clean with constant entertainment or quieter areas if you wanted to peace, grounds lush and green.

This was 2 weeks of relaxation, reading and rest

Below are a few of my holiday essentials;

Sunscreen and after sun lotions -stay safe

Books, with my personal recommendations

Sunglasses these are Joanie Clothing

Chub rub stick

Bug repellent

And the famous big cup, super for filling with cocktails and keep it them cool

I spy with my……. Little Box

So I recently signed up to My Little Box after seeing an Instagram post put up by a friend. And so far I haven’t been disappointed.

So the premise is every month you receive a ‘little box’ filled with goodies. I’ve tried Birchbox in the past and although I enjoyed some of the samples there were usually a lot that I didn’t end up using.

In my first Little Box delivery I received, amongst other things a small batik bag and travel document holder which I used a lot on my  recent holiday (Previous blog here)

And this latest delivery didn’t disappoint

First up was a scarf, oh wait 2 scarves, one blue one black along with cute guide on different ways to wear, perfect since Autumn has well and truly arrived with a brrrrrr

The beauty samples this month included a red lip gloss stick, my favourite colour, BB creme which I can’t wait to try and a handy handbag sized hairspray, perfect for work bag and evening clutch.

And to get in you the mood for that night disco dancing there’s some nail decals, I’ve never tried them before but definitely going to give these a go and a bottle of Cointreau with handy drink guide!

So now I’m of to try my scarf tying skills and maybe a cheeky Cointreau cocktail

Mini me……

Yesterday was one of those days where things just fit. Firstly I went to the office, which was pretty average I grant you, then came home to my puppy, always a joy.

However it is the evening where things got interesting, I finally got my hands on my new car. I’ve wanted a mini ever since I learned to drive but have never owned one…………….. Until now

And I love it. I mean I really do, still dealing with all the bells and whistles but so far so good.

Now to pug protect it!

Busy bank holiday days

So another long weekend has been and gone, my last one till Christmas (I am on holiday for our August one) and for a change I actually did something with it.
Usually I spend it trying to sort the house,  see past 5 years worth of bank holiday, but this was different. This one had good weather and actual real life plans.

For starters on Friday I decided to treat myself, something I have started to try and do a little more these days. I am usually running round trying to help other people I rarely help myself so once in a while I like to give myself a break
So pedicure and hair do were my first port of call

Then Saturday I took the puppy out for his first proper walk. I think it was an experience for us all! But I did manage to get him looking like a seasoned pro

Sunday was a sophisticated affair, afternoon tea to celebrate (early) a friends birthday. It was utterly delightful

And Monday I took puppy out again to a horse show with a friend and her son. He was in his element being petted and fussed, puppy not son.
The hoses were on top form to, shires to yearlings and even the odd donkey or 2.
A great day out

Back to the grind today, oh well real life beckons

Treats for me…….

So there’s nothing I love more then being busy, ok there is but I can’t spend all day eating cupcakes in bed.
Anywho by being busy I mean planning what to do with my time.
So last Sunday, after seeing a post on the old Facebook I decided to head to Hoghton Tower for a vintage craft fair.
Now I’d love to think I’m the kind of gal who can pull of vintage wear and still look cute, but as a slightly curvy girl I find its not always easy. Anyway I digress.
The weather wasn’t the best but my love of kitsch and cute won me over.
So after much looking, ooooooing and arrrrrring I settled on a scarf, head bands, greetings cards and a cute framed pic
