Bags for life

So my not to secret guilty secret are bags. I love them, I can’t stop buying them and I’m running out of excuses to keep buying them.

But before that happens I’m going to share my latest treats.

Now as you may or may not know my parents live in France and whenever I visit I’m always mesmerising by the fashion. Now I know they gave many of the same shops as we have here but they obviously have different stock.

Now bags are a different matter. I love the designs in Desigual, they are just different, quirky and I can never just choose one…….. so this time I chose 2

This cute tan and tapestry Boho one, smaller then my usual style but I couldn’t resist

And this super denim one (oh yes and the purse ooooooops)

Every so often I gift my bags to friends who’ve always said they liked them or charity shops but it’s the hardest item of all to give up

Wish me luck

Favourite summer look

Summer, you remember that right? I think we had about a week of it here in the UK. Anyway blessed with a tan from my holiday to Jamaica I attended the wedding, well vow renewal of some old friends.

I’d had my eye on a maxi dress for some time, just a matter of finding the right one. Then after spotting this beauty on twitter I had to get it from Simply Be

It was perfect, I mean look at it.

The prefect summer dress. Teamed with summer wedges and this gorgeous embroidered bag from New Look.

Wedding outfit complete

All about holding onto those last sunny days………. oh and burgers

What I did on my holidays

So this years summer travels took me across the sea to beautiful Jamaica. More specifically the luxury Bahia Principe Runaway Bay and it was stunning.

The rooms were decked out with either a super deluxe king bed or 2 doubles, tv, fully stocked mini fridge, bottle of vodka and rum.  Jacuzzi bath, double sink bathroom, toilet, shower etc. But rooms are rooms anywhere.

We chose the luxury side as it was adults only, so no kids. Personally heaven for me. Unlimited visits to the a la carte restaurants, branded spirit drinks etc.

My favourites were the Jamaican and Japanese. Mainly for the food but the shows they put on are super fun. Oh and who doesn’t love a good buffet breakfast

The beach was exquisite, private and peaceful. I tried to get down there each morning before others arrived. Just to have some me time

Pools were clean with constant entertainment or quieter areas if you wanted to peace, grounds lush and green.

This was 2 weeks of relaxation, reading and rest

Below are a few of my holiday essentials;

Sunscreen and after sun lotions -stay safe

Books, with my personal recommendations

Sunglasses these are Joanie Clothing

Chub rub stick

Bug repellent

And the famous big cup, super for filling with cocktails and keep it them cool

A photo worth…….

As we move into a new year, and a world ever more obsessed with the instant digital world, having our every thought and desire at our  fingertips, I realised something.

I couldn’t remember the last time I physically developed a picture. I take them all the time, every day in-fact of mostly meaningless things, but don’t ever commit entirely to the process of developing them.

So after considering for sometime I treated myself to an instant camera. My grandma had a polaroid camera when I was a child, I used to love playing with it and pretending to take photos, I was never actually trusted to use it when there was any film inside (well rarely)  but it wasn’t the point.

So after a little research I opted for the Instax Mini 70, by Fujifilm. It came with 10 films and the battery already to go. My OH treated me to a case for it for our wedding anniversary, perfect for protecting the camera, especially with my known clumsiness. The camera is really easy use and super fun.

The images are smaller then those the polaroid used to produce but I love them!

Off i went on a little walk with the puppy to have a play, and i couldn’t have been more thrilled with the results

if you go down to the woods today….

so, once a year me and my girlfriends head of to the woods for some peace, relaxation and reflection……

ok so maybe i mean we take enough drink to satisfy a sailor, and essential spend the weekend doing what the hell we want, either way its OUR weekend.

so this year, like every other, we packed our page and loaded up the car and headed for Centre Parcs (Whinfell).

this year we treated ourselves to one of the new all singing, all dancing, all hot-tubing, cabins.

this place was a dream, hot tub, en suite rooms, sauna, steam room. this place had it all.

this was heaven, pure heaven!

centre parks is such a special place for me and my girlfriends, thats why we keep going back. yes it can be pricey if you’re going as a family but as we pay for ourselves it works out pretty cheap.

this year we went bowling, took a pottery painting class and generally relaxed in our tub.

the site has so many extras, tropical pool with slides, wave machine and rapids, archery, high ropes, climbing, bike riding, spa, ports centre, segway etc

there are also such a wide selection of restaurants, Cafe rouge,Bella Italia, Starbucks, Takeaway service and even a Pancake House

all in all another successful trip

Same time next year!

Which way’s which?

so as someone who doesn’t have children of her own be under no illusion that I enjoy adventure playgrounds just as much as the next.

So on Sunday I went, along with a friend and her small person to Brimstage Maze near Birkenhead.

This place has it all for ages 0-99, bouncing pillows, bouncy castle, space hoppers, swings, laser tag, obstacle course, zip line and 2 mazes.

There are 2 mazes, a small one and a large one. As we had small person I tow we chose the small one. To celebrate 150th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland the themes were related. The larger one to find quotes from the story and the smaller one the find the mad hatters teapots.

Good fun, even if we did only find 7 of the 10!

To recover and regather our wits we broke for tea, sandwiches and cakes at the onsite eatery.

This was a fun and relatively inexpensive day out! Fun for all, young and old
