Her hair……

So I’m pretty sure I have hair schizophrenia (or something equally as dramatic) basically at the grand old age of 34 I still don’t know a) how I like my hair b) what hair style suits me and c) how to actually do my hair after I leave the hairdressers.

I was planning on having some extensions and doing the whole grey/ silver thing….. But then someone reminded me I’m nearly 35 and maybe leave that to the hipster types who rock a boho look.

def not me

So I sent round the gallery below to various friends to gauge opinion

So I’ve discounted the bottom left after the harsh (but fair) reality check from friends. So top left/ right would require either extensions or perseverance to grow and the other 3 means taking the plunge and chopping it of again but actually pay attention and learn to style

Currently my look is somewhere in between (a little Borris Johnson if I’m honest) so a change is needed

Any vote or opinion greatly received

Peace

I spy with my……. Little Box

So I recently signed up to My Little Box after seeing an Instagram post put up by a friend. And so far I haven’t been disappointed.

So the premise is every month you receive a ‘little box’ filled with goodies. I’ve tried Birchbox in the past and although I enjoyed some of the samples there were usually a lot that I didn’t end up using.

In my first Little Box delivery I received, amongst other things a small batik bag and travel document holder which I used a lot on my  recent holiday (Previous blog here)

And this latest delivery didn’t disappoint

First up was a scarf, oh wait 2 scarves, one blue one black along with cute guide on different ways to wear, perfect since Autumn has well and truly arrived with a brrrrrr

The beauty samples this month included a red lip gloss stick, my favourite colour, BB creme which I can’t wait to try and a handy handbag sized hairspray, perfect for work bag and evening clutch.

And to get in you the mood for that night disco dancing there’s some nail decals, I’ve never tried them before but definitely going to give these a go and a bottle of Cointreau with handy drink guide!

So now I’m of to try my scarf tying skills and maybe a cheeky Cointreau cocktail

There goes the neighbourhood…..

Another day another assignment. Be a good neighbour,  not to the people next door to your house,  you know the ones who you awkwardly send a Christmas card to ‘no 9, merry xmas from no 7’. But the ones who exist in blog world.

Now I am guilty of being super excited about getting likes and comments as I am pretty new to the game but reading today’s assignment made me realise how stingy I have been at spreading the neighbourly love.

So I have found myself some new blogs to follow and decided to engage with my fellow bloggers
So here a jyst a few I’ve given a follow/ left a comment for
Hopefully this will encourage me to spend as much time reading and I do writing

A modern day miracle…..

Ok ok ok I admit I might have slightly exaggerated the outcome of this post, but before you stop scrolling bare with me.

So not sure about you but any regular shampoo/ conditioner user may have faced this heartache more then once. When one bottle, usually shampoo empties before the other.  Then you’re left with the dilemma,  do you buy the same brand conditioner again, just use shampoo alone, mix and match products, or shelve the remaining shampoo and start 2 bottles of fresh product.
Is any of this sounding familiar?
Ok I’ve probably lost some of you by now but stay with me.
Now I am a fickle fellow when it comes to haircare, generally only using what’s on offer when I go shopping so i’m either in mix and match mode or shelve and start a fresh…..

That was until Wednesday morning when this happened

That’s right people both my shampoo and conditioner expired at the same time…..

Praise be a Miracle I think you can all agree

With that in mind I’m of to buy a lottery ticket

Till next time lather rinse repeat

Lotions and potions galore

Who uses body lotion? I  mean please put your hand’s in the air. In every ‘gift ‘ set in have received over the past few years there is always a body lotion, or more recently body butter but who uses them?
I have recently undertook a spring clean ( a favourite activity of mine but that’s for another time) and had 2 drawers full of unused lotions and potions .
I have never used a body moisturiser,  mainly because I don’t usually lounge around after showering, but also because I just don’t get it.
Body scrubs yes, shower gels yes, but creams that makes my skin feel wet after I’ve just dried. ….. Erm no.

Anyway rather than throw them all away i have decided to regift some of them to friends who have expressed an interest, and the rest to my local charity shop.

I have kept a few to see if I can get in board with the concept but if not I will have to write myself of as a moisturiser no goer
