So last week the lovelies from Grandads Sausages sent me over a selection of goodies to try.
Some lovely Olde English flavour and Italian flavour bangers and sausage meat. Now being a little bit of a scardy cat in the kitchen I was a little unsure what to do with the meat.
Sausages I can deal with, bangers and mash, sausage egg chips and beans, even whack them in a casserole, but actual sausage meat no idea.
So I called on a friend who is much more adept in the old kitchen dept. So she offered to teach me how to make homemade Scotch Eggs.
And they were amazing, an so simple!
Ingredients
Eggs
Sausage meat
Bread crumbs
Eggs
Frylight/ equivalent
Method
Pre heat oven to around 180 degrees
Boil eggs and deshell
Roll out and cut sausage meat into circles (ish)
Wrap the meat around the eggs and seal
Dip in beaten egg
Dip in breadcrumbs
Place on lined baking tray
Spray on frylight
Bake for around 25 mins
Allow to cool, or not and enjoy!
*although Grandads Sausages provided the meat all thoughts and opinions are my own

Amazing Becky! I keep thinking I should give homemade scotch eggs a go. But then always put it off as I have no idea how to make them and assumed it would be really difficult. But you’ve just made it look so simple!! Thanks for the inspiration π
